The Polar Express is a 2004 CGI-animated fantasy film based on the children's book by Chris Van Allsburg. The film was written, produced and directed by Robert Zemeckis and produced by Castle Rock Entertainment in association with Shangri-La Entertainment, ImageMovers, Playtone and Golden Mean for Warner Bros. The film was released on November 10, 2004.

- Tom Hanks voices the Hero Boy and the beginning and ending narration of the film as well as providing motion capture for the character.
- Michael Jeter's full performance never made it to the final cut of the film, only a deleted scene with him playing both the characters exists. He can only be heard one time as Steamer during the Caribou scene.
