Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is a 2022 live-action/CGI-animated fantasy adventure film based on the video game franchise published by Sega, and the sequel to the 2020 feature film Sonic the Hedgehog. The film is directed by Jeff Fowler from a screenplay by John Whittington, Josh Miller, and Pat Casey. The film was released in the United States on April 8, 2022, by Paramount Pictures and Sega Sammy Group.
