James LaRue Avery (November 27, 1945 – December 31, 2013) was an American actor and voice actor. On December 31, 2013, Avery died at the age of 68 from complications following open heart surgery in the Los Angeles suburb hospital Glendale Adventist Medical Center.
He was known for voicing: Shredder in 1987's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and War Machine in 1994's Iron Man.
