Fruits Basket ( フルーツバスケット) is an anime television series based on the manga series written and illustrated by Natsuki Takaya. The series originally aired in Japan between July 5, 2001 and December 27, 2001, consisting of 26 episodes. The series was released in North America on DVD by FUNimation Entertainment between October 29, 2002 and May 27, 2003.
