AKB0048: next stage is an anime television series based on the idol group AKB48. The anime was produced by Satelight with Shōji Kawamori as chief director and writer. The series originally aired in Japan between January 5, 2013 and March 30, 2013, consisting of 13 episodes. The series was released in North America on Blu-Ray and DVD by Sentai Filmworks on February 24, 2014.
